Social Worker of the Year 2024

Amanda Gray

Please join us in congratulating Cook Children’s 2024 Social Worker of the Year and all social workers who were nominated. Each employee nominated for this honor has gone above and beyond to meet Cook Children’s experience standards – to connect, collaborate, and elevate – and each embodies Cook Children’s core values of kindness, respect, collaboration, imagination, generosity and safety.

This year, the honor of Social Worker of the Year is awarded to Amanda Gray, LMSW, Case Management / 3 PAV

From her nominations:

“Amanda is an amazing social worker. She is very knowledgeable and kind as well as quick to collaborate with staff or even other outlying facilities. When Amanda had a patient that had surgery and was unable to travel via car to the hospital for their follow up appointment, she sprang into action. Amanda spent days on the phone trying to collaborate with an EMS company to pick this patient up from a rural town to bring them to and from an appointment. She was able to get the EMS night shift team to work during their time off. Amanda continuously works true miracles in assisting her patients. She is very creative and works very hard for her patients.”
