• Cellular carriers such as AT&T and Verizon are experiencing nationwide service interruptions this morning that are impacting the 5G/LTE/3G and other signals that are used for voice and data communication via cellular towers.
• We continue working with AT&T and other cellular providers to obtain more information, explore work-arounds and triage critical communiation needs.
• Certain models of AT&T and Verizon cellphones support the ability to make phone calls via Wi-Fi. This is a feature that must be turned on your cell phone to work. The feature may not work for everyone and individuals may experience a “bad gateway” message due to the carrier’s network being heavily congested. Individuals are encouraged to keep trying if they receive this error message.
• IS staff are located at the following locations to assist in setting up cell phones to temporarily not use cellular service and use Wi-Fi calling.
o 1st floor 901
