workday-og-themeReminder: Performance Evaluations, Check-in Conversations Due Oct. 25, 2024

Activities for the year-end performance cycle are wrapping up, and managers should complete all evaluations and check-in conversations by Oct. 25.

Year-end performance reviews cover the period since October 2023. They use a new 3-point rating scale to measure criteria including the employee’s biggest accomplishments and opportunities for growth.

Check-in conversations are one-on-one sessions between managers and each of their direct reports. It’s a chance to discuss the employee’s strengths, priorities, needs and growth potential. Check-ins are required at fiscal year-end and mid-year under our new Performance & Development (P&D) platform, which replaces PACE.

Employees and managers will “acknowledge” via Workday that the check-in discussion occurred.

These components of our revamped approach to P&D are geared to provide continual feedback and support that enhances the skills of our workforce at Cook Children’s.  

 

Important-6Managers: Navigating ULearn for Confirmation of Required Training

 As part of year-end evaluations, managers can go to ULearn to verify the completion of their employees’ required training. Here are the steps:

  1.  In ULearn, click on Reports from the lefthand menu.
  2. Open the Manager – Employee Learning History report.
  3. Select the employee you are needing to validate by clicking on their network ID.
  4. Confirm all assigned curriculum have a date populated in the Date Curriculum Completed Field and ensure that all required certifications are valid.
